This vintage comes from a village located in the heart of the famous Ali Shan Cha Wulong appellation, renowned for its great high-altitude wulong vintages produced in the Ali Mountains.
A true pioneer, producer Silvia Vayiyana oxidizes part of her harvest to obtain a pearl black tea with a coppery amber liquor and warm, woody notes that will only improve over the years. For this vintage, harvested in the summer of 2017, its roasting was more thorough than on the Ali Shan Cha Red "Yunghu" which has been in our catalog for several years already, harvested a little earlier in the same year. It will satisfy drinkers of full-bodied tea with intense roasted notes.
Silvia being of indigenous Tsou origin nicknamed him "Yunghu" which means comforting in Tsou, warm like its color and its mouthfeel.
