This vintage tea from the Lumbini Tea Valley tea estate is characterized by beautifully pearled leaves and a deep, dark color in the cup. Its flavors are woody, with an almost malty and spicy edge. Delicious for a sweet or savory breakfast. Lumbini Tea Valley is located in the valley of the same name next to the Sinharaja forest reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is one of the few primary rainforests in the world, rich in endemic species. This proximity to the forest creates a cool, misty, preserved ecosystem for the plantation that is conducive to tea growing.

Ce n'est pas mon thé préféré de la Lumbini Tea Valley, qui propose d'autres crus plus raffinés et complexes ; mais c'est leur thé le plus "puissant", aussi, et comme l'indique son nom, le mieux indiqué pour le petit déjeuner. Il s'accorde autant avec des tartines de confiture qu'avec un "full english" et ses beans et saucisses... Le goût et la qualité sont là et si vous cherchez un bon thé noir "simple et efficace", vous ne serez pas déçus.
