Roasting is an age-old process for hot beverages. For tea, roasting allows to develop the flavors, to preserve them over time and sometimes even to improve them. To roast your own tea at home, here is a clever utensil from Japan.
In the box, you will find :
- 1 roasting pan made in Japan of its Japanese name horoku or hoji-ki.
- 50g of green tea from Japan, Bancha (late harvest of mature leaves that can be roasted quite thoroughly)
- 50g of Darjeeling Rohini black tea from India, spring harvest 2020 (extinguished tea that will be revived for a soft roasting)
- 1 monodose of 7g of Ali Shan Cha Wulong "Anaiza" roasted just right by the producer Silvia Vayiyana so that it improves with age (here harvested in spring 2015)
